Quality Downtime has an End!
In this week's episode Coach Dannii and Coach Sall talk about the importance of rest, and the role it plays in Strengthening your body. Then we get to the real topic; quality down time and it's important in keeping you energised, recharged and your motivation renewed.
To be quality downtime it MUST have an end, just as you can't exercise all day, you can't rest all day either. We must take care to ensure we get quality down time, the kind that means our thoughts wander all over the place and that we emerge from feeling refreshed and maybe with new ideas and solutions to problems. Schedule it in, ring fence it and protect it. It's important for your health and wellbeing, for your cognitive function, your decision making and your overall happiness.
It's also important to differentiate your downtime, the kind where you want to be distracted is different to the kind where you want to be left with your random thoughts. You need to make sure it has an end so it doesn't become a distraction in itself, or drift into less quality down time or even into procrastination.
